SSI Open
Water Instructor Training Course (ITC)
Prerequisites:
- Have Host Dive-store
sponsorship/approval
- Submit
Class Application Form
- Order
Open Water Instructor Home-Study Kit from host store
- Complete
all home-study assignments prior to start of class
- SSI Dive Control
(Dive-Con) Specialist rating or equivalent
- SSI Diver Stress
& Rescue rating or equivalent
- CPR and First Aide
certification
- 100 or more logged
dives
- A complete set of
Personal Scuba Diving Equipment of Store/Instructor quality
- Proof of at least
2 Open Water dive-class assists within 6 months
- Have a current Medical
for diving signed by physician
- 18 years of age
or older
Class Expectations
and Topics:
- Prepared for proper
balance of time with family, work schedules and ITC schedule
- Time to interact
with another SSI Instructor and an Open Water Scuba Class
- Time to prepare
class assignments
- ITC schedule is
firm once started, no make-ups are available.

How do I Sign up?
Step 1: Choose a schedule and a class start date. Call us at 254-791-DIVE(3483).
Step 2: A $50 deposit reserves your spot. Call in with your card or come by the shop.
Step 3: Pick up your books and video at least one week before class.
Step 4: Get ready to have fun!
What will I need?
1: A completed medical release form.
You will need a doctors signature if you check yes to any medical history problems.
If you need to see your doctor, please bring these physician's guidelines with you.
2: Class book and video.
3: Bathing suit and a towel.
4: Your own dive gear.
We offer a rent to own program
and a
try before you buy program for Dive Club members.
